Our Private Policy

Last updated: July 1st, 2026

Nosara Dream Properties (“Nosara Dream Properties,” “NDP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website nosaradreamproperties.com (the “Site”) and related services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

We process personal data in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, in particular Law No. 8968 – Protection of the Individual with Regard to the Processing of Personal Data (Ley de Protección de la Persona frente al Tratamiento de sus Datos Personales) and its Regulation (Executive Decree No. 37554-JP), under the oversight of the Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes (PRODHAB).

By using this Site or submitting your information through any of our forms, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The party responsible for processing your personal data (the “Data Controller”) is:

  • Entity: 3-102-960513 Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada
  • Corporate ID (cédula jurídica): 3-102-960513
  • Address: Nosara, Guanacaste, Costa Rica
  • Email: info@nosaradreamproperties.com
  • Phone / WhatsApp: 506 6448-1372

If you have any questions about this Policy or how we handle your data, you can reach us at the email above.

2. What personal data we collect

We only collect the data you provide to us voluntarily, together with certain technical data generated automatically when you browse the Site.

Data you provide directly, for example when you:

  • Complete a contact or property-inquiry form (name, email, phone, message, property or area of interest, budget or timeline if you share it).
  • Book a call through our scheduling tool (name, email, phone, appointment details).
  • Submit a lead form through our social media or advertising campaigns (name, email, phone).
  • Subscribe to our newsletter or updates (email, and name if provided).
  • Communicate with us by email, phone, WhatsApp, or messaging apps.

Data collected automatically when you browse the Site:

  • IP address, approximate location, browser type, device information, operating system.
  • Pages visited, time on site, referring source, and similar analytics data.
  • Information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive data (such as health, religious, political, or biometric information). Please do not include sensitive data in your messages.

3. How and why we use your data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide the real estate services you request.
  • To schedule and manage calls, viewings, and consultations.
  • To send you property information, market updates, and — where you have consented — marketing communications and our newsletter.
  • To manage our client relationships and internal records (CRM).
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our services.
  • To comply with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations in Costa Rica.

We process your data on the basis of your informed, express consent, and, where applicable, to perform a service you have requested or to comply with a legal obligation.

You may withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as necessary and with appropriate safeguards, in the following cases:

  • Service providers and technology partners who process data on our behalf, such as website hosting, scheduling, email marketing, customer-relationship management, analytics, and advertising platforms.
  • Professional partners (for example, legal, notarial, or financial advisors) when their involvement is necessary to advance a transaction you have engaged us for, and with your knowledge.
  • Authorities when required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request.

Each provider is only authorized to use your data for the specific purpose we contract them for.

5. International data transfers

Because some of the tools and platforms we use (for example, our website host, scheduling, email, analytics, and advertising providers) operate servers outside Costa Rica — including in the United States and the European Union — your data may be transferred to and processed in other countries.

In accordance with Article 14 of Law No. 8968, we carry out these transfers only where we have your consent and where appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information. By submitting your data through the Site, you consent to such transfers for the purposes described in this Policy.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and measure the performance of our advertising.

This may include:

  • Essential cookies required for the Site to operate.
  • Analytics cookies (for example, to understand how visitors use the Site).
  • Advertising / marketing cookies (for example, the Meta/Facebook Pixel), used to measure and improve our campaigns.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the Site works.

7. How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain our business and client records, and to comply with our legal obligations. When your data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or improper disclosure, in accordance with Article 10 of Law No. 8968. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we work to safeguard your information at all times.

9. Your rights

Under Law No. 8968, you have the right to:

  • Access — to know what personal data of yours we hold, for what purpose, and for how long.
  • Rectification — to have inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete data corrected.
  • Cancellation / Deletion — to request removal of your data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
  • Objection — to object to the processing of your data for specific purposes, including marketing.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@nosaradreamproperties.com. We will respond within five (5) business days of receiving a complete and properly identified request, as required by law.

If you believe your rights have not been adequately addressed, you may file a complaint with the Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes (PRODHAB) at www.prodhab.go.cr.

10. Minors

Our Site and services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Third-party links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
